The world wastes over 1.4 billion tons of food every year while 821 million people worldwide are chronically hungry.

While governments and international programs create programs to fight world hunger, with the amount of food wasted, and a great number of people suffering from hunger, there is a strong need for solutions that enable the community to solve the hunger challenge.

Community fridges have been used to provide food for vulnerable families and individuals. They have been used in some cities like Riyadh and New York. The fridges can be placed in outdoor areas such as restaurants or parks. They allow any restaurant or individual to drop off unwanted or unused food in order to support those who cannot afford to buy that food.
