1.Does the summit provides accessibility support for persons with disabilities?

Yes. The Summit is committed to ensuring inclusive participation. Participants can indicate their accessibility requirements during registration so that appropriate support can be considered.

2. How can persons with disabilities request accessibility support?

Applicants can indicate their accessibility needs in the designated section of the registration form. Our team will review the requests and communicate any necessary arrangements with selected participants.

3. Can participants with disabilities bring a personal assistant or caregiver?

هل يمكن للمشاركين من ذوي الإعاقة اصطحاب مرافق أو مقدم رعاية؟

Participants who require personal assistance should indicate this during registration. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, subject to available arrangements and prior approval

4. When will I be informed about the status of my application for the Summit?

All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by email two months prior to the Summit. Please make sure to regularly check the email address provided in the application form, including the spam/junk folder.

5. What are the passport validity requirement?

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of the Summit

6. Does UN-ESCWA guarantee visa issuance for Summit participants?

هل تضمن الإسكوا إصدار التأشيرات للمشاركين في القمة؟

UN-ESCWA does not guarantee the issuance of visas for participants. However, UN-ESCWA facilitates the visa process by providing the relevant authorities with the list of confirmed participants wishing to travel and attend the Summit. The decision to issue a visa remains solely at the discretion of the respective Embassy or Consulate.

لا تضمن الإسكوا إصدار التأشيرات للمشاركين، إلا أنها تقوم بتيسير إجراءات طلب التأشيرة من خلال تزويد الجهات المختصة بقائمة المشاركين المؤكدين الراغبين في السفر وحضور القمة. ويبقى قرار منح التأشيرة من اختصاص السفارة أو القنصلية المعنية وحدها.

7. Will travel costs be covered or financial support be provided for Summit participant?

هل سيتم توفير دعم مالي أو رعاية للمشاركة في القمة؟

The registration for the Summit does not guarantee financial support or travel cost coverage. Interested participants are invited to complete the registration form and provide details about their projects and relevant information. UN-ESCWA will review and assess the applications, and selected participants whose travel costs will be covered by UN-ESCWA, as well as participants whose attendance will be confirmed without financial support, will be notified two months prior to the Summit

يرجى العلم بأن التسجيل في القمة لا يضمن الحصول على دعم مالي أو تغطية تكاليف السفر. ندعوالراغبين في حضور القمة لاستكمال نموذج التسجيل وتضمين تفاصيل مشاريعهم والمعلومات ذات الصلة. ستقوم الإسكوا (UN-ESCWA) بمراجعة وتقييم الطلبات، وسيتم التواصل مع المشاركين الذين تم اختيارهم لتغطية تكاليف سفرهم من قبل الإسكوا، بالإضافة إلى المشاركين الذين سيتم تأكيد مشاركتهم دون تغطية النفقات، وذلك قبل موعد انعقاد القمة بشهرين.

8. Can partners sponsor individuals or organizations to attend the Summit?

هل يمكن للشركاء تقديم رعاية للأفراد أو الجهات للمشاركة في القمة؟

Yes, sponsorship opportunities may be available through partners in accordance with approved criteria and mechanisms. Eligible participants will be contacted regarding any available partner-sponsored support.

نعم، قد تتوفر فرص للرعاية من خلال الشركاء وفقًا للمعايير والآليات المعتمدة. وسيتم التواصل مع المشاركين المؤهلين في حال توفر أي دعم مقدم من الشركاء.

9. Can sponsored airline tickets be changed?

هل يمكن تعديل تذاكر الطيران المقدمة ضمن الرعاية؟

Any request to change sponsored airline tickets must be arranged directly by the participant with the airline and is subject to the airline’s terms and conditions. Any additional costs, penalties, or change fees will be the responsibility of the participant. Changes may not be possible after ticket issuance.

يجب ترتيب أي طلب لتعديل تذاكر الطيران المقدمة ضمن الرعاية مباشرة من قبل المشارك مع شركة الطيران، ويخضع ذلك لشروط وأحكام شركة الطيران. ويتحمل المشارك أي تكاليف إضافية أو غرامات أو رسوم ناتجة عن التعديل. وقد لا يكون التعديل ممكنًا بعد إصدار التذكرة.

10. Can I extend my stay or add extra days beyond the sponsored dates?

هل يمكنني تمديد إقامتي أو إضافة أيام إضافية خارج فترة الرعاية؟

If sponsorship is provided, it covers only the approved duration of participation in the Summit. Participants are responsible for any additional costs related to extending their stay or adding days beyond the sponsored period unless otherwise approved in advance

في حال تقديم دعم للرعاية، فإنه يغطي فقط المدة المعتمدة للمشاركة في القمة. ويتحمل المشاركون أي تكاليف إضافية ناتجة عن تمديد الإقامة أو إضافة أيام خارج فترة الرعاية، ما لم تتم الموافقة على ذلك مسبقًا.

11. Does registration guarantee participation in the Summit?

Registration does not automatically guarantee participation. UN-ESCWA will review applications and communicate with selected participants based on the established criteria.

12. Can more than one person from the same organization register?

Yes, more than one person from the same organization may apply and participate in the Summit. Each participant must submit an individual registration form using a unique email address, as the same email cannot be used for multiple registrations. Applicants should regularly check their registered email for updates from UN-ESCWA.

13. Can I modify my registration information after submission?

هل يمكن تعديل معلومات التسجيل بعد الإرسال؟

If you need to modify any changes after submitting your application, kindly refer to the registration confirmation email that was sent to you after your initial submission. Using the link provided in that email, you can access your registration, make the necessary edits or changes, and save your updated information.

إذا كنت بحاجة إلى إجراء أي تعديلات بعد تقديم طلبك، يُرجى الرجوع إلى رسالة تأكيد التسجيل التي أُرسلت إليك بعد تقديم طلبك الأولي. باستخدام الرابط الموجود في تلك الرسالة، يمكنك الدخول إلى طلب التسجيل الخاص بك، وإجراء التعديلات أو التغييرات اللازمة، ثم حفظ المعلومات المحدّثة.

14. If my passport is currently being renewed, can I upload my current passport and update it later with the new one?

إذا كان جواز سفري قيد التجديد، هل يمكنني رفع صورة جواز السفر الحالي ثم تحديثها لاحقًا بعد استلام الجواز الجديد؟

Yes, you may upload your current passport initially. You should be able to edit your application and update the passport attachment once you receive the new passport. If you encounter any issues while editing your application, please contact us at: [email protected]

15. Is there a participation fee for the Summit?

Participation in the Summit is free of charge, and there are no registration or attendance fees.

16. Can informal or unregistered businesses apply?

Yes, businesses may apply, and applications will be assessed based on the information provided in the registration form.

17. Can I register if I am based outside the host country?

21. Is Iraq safe for hosting and attending the Summit?

Participants are advised to keep their registration confirmation electronically or print it if required according to the organizing team’s instructions.

24. What are the languages of the Summit? Will interpretation be available?

The official language of the Summit is Arabic, and simultaneous interpretation into English and French will be available.

25. Can I bring my family when travelling to attend the Summit?

Summit participation arrangements or any support provided by UN-ESCWA do not cover family members or companions.

26. Can I attend only one day of the Summit?

Yes, participants who have attended or participated in previous Summits may apply again. All applications will be assessed according to the established criteria.

No. We strongly recommend that participants do not make any travel or accommodation bookings until the acceptance results are announced.
