In this compendium, we will mention the details of digital farming techniques in five chapters. Each chapter will begin with an introduction defining the technology, then a section for the technology’s applications in the agricultural field. Finally, conclude by mentioning the challenges and obstacles facing the application of this technology in the Arab region and the world.

• The first chapter is about the Internet of Things, and we will review in it the types of sensors and the types of wireless transmission technologies.
• The second chapter is about data, analytics, Big Data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques used in agriculture.
• The third chapter is about the distributed ledger technologies, known as the block chain, and how they improve the distribution of agricultural products from the farm to the consumer through different supply chains.
• The fourth chapter is about drones and their applications in agriculture.
• The fifth chapter is about robots and mobile apps and their agricultural applications, from presowing to harvesting.
