Germany is the third largest medical technology market in the world after the United States and Japan, twice the size of France and three times the size of Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain. In recent years, nearly 300 digital health technology companies have been founded in Germany and approximately 200 telemedicine projects have been implemented. According to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the digital health industry in Germany is expected to grow to 38 billion euros by 2025.
